Carpetdiem is a small company based in Ottawa, Canada, selling a selection of gelims and other flatwoven carpets and tribal items from the main nomadic and village flatweaving areas of Iran. These pieces come from a personal collection and are the result of purchases made while living in Iran in the early 1970s as well as purchases on subsequent visits. The current selection was photographed in natural light on a large horizontal frame. Some items appear with obvious fold lines, others are slightly rumpled as a result of storage.
The selection on this site will change from time to time to include new items from the collection. We have a number of large carpets suitable for loft space as well as some smaller area carpets, runners of various lengths and saddle bags.
